Kingswood College Final Challenge
Get to school on time for Wellbeing and your big test in Period 1
By mjall3

You do the right thing by helping the little old lady cross Station Street.

But you’ve done the wrong thing by not crossing at the lights at the pedestrian crossing in front of the school.

NEVER do this.

You don’t recall much of what happens next except the sound of a car horn, the sound of screeching tyres, and a little old lady thrusting you in front of the oncoming car as a human shield to protect her from the impending collision.

Months go by and, eventually, you regain the use of your arms and legs. You commit yourself to a vigorous campaign of physio and rehabilitation so that, one day, you might even be able to do DPA again.

Finally, 6 months later, you are ready to return to school. You walk in and are immediately mobbed by all your friends who are so happy to see you back. The school even has an official assembly to welcome you back and has renamed the pedestrian crossing out the front of school in your honour.

Crossing in the middle of the road was the wrong thing to do and it’s cost you so much but, in this moment, the world is good…. Until out of nowhere your teacher runs up to you and says “You missed your big test Period 1on that day 6 months ago… you need to do it NOW.”
