The Remain side has two main aims in this European election.
One is for Remain parties to get more votes in total than Leave parties. This could then be used to argue that a second referendum is needed because the country has changed its mind on Brexit.
The other is to elect as many pro-EU representatives as possible who can speak for this section of British society in Brussels.
